(Bolingbrook, Ill.) Kenneth Rose, an experienced health care leader, has been named president and CEO at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook, a 138-bed hospital located in Chicago’s southwestern suburbs.

Rose will lead operations and growth plans for the hospital and will be responsible for the implementation of critical service-line strategies. He will also have executive oversight of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks and will lead the development and execution of strategies that support the total network of care for these two facilities. Vladimir Radivojevic, president/CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks, will continue to oversee the daily operations and will report to Rose. On February 12, Rose assumed his new position, reporting to Herb Buchanan, interim president and CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth.

Rose led Texas Health Hospital Mansfield, a partnership of AdventHealth and Texas Health Resources, since 2019. There, he was responsible for strategic development, growth and operations, and oversaw the successful opening of a new hospital campus, including a four-story hospital and an 80,000-square-foot medical office building housing primary-care and specialty-care providers. He earlier served as vice president of ancillary services for Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South, a position he assumed in 2016.

“We’re excited to welcome Kenneth back to the Midwest and serve in this new capacity at our Bolingbrook hospital,” said Herb Buchanan, interim president and CEO for UChicago Medicine AdventHealth. “His wealth of understanding of our region and notable experience in building strong relationships with team members, providers and community members will be central to our future plans for growth.”

The return to Bolingbrook is a homecoming for Rose, who became manager of the Adventist Plainfield Medical Campus in 2011 after joining AdventHealth as a management resident in 2008. From 2014 to 2016, he served as administrative director of radiology services and the neuroscience service line at AdventHealth’s Hinsdale and La Grange hospitals, helping to integrate their radiology and neuroscience teams.

“I’m thrilled to come back to the place where I started my career and work with this talented team as we continue to extend Christ’s healing ministry to the growing community of Bolingbrook,” Rose said. “I’m excited about the future and how our teams will help further our mission and promise of wholeness.”

Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University in Orlando, Florida. He previously served as chairman of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce board and was on the board of directors for the Arlington/Mansfield YMCA.
