About Our Practice

We’re committed to providing excellent midwifery, obstetrics and gynecology care in the western suburbs of Chicago, delivering personalized care to women throughout their lives. From the menstrual cycle years through menopause, our providers offer sensitive, individualized and evidence-based care at every age and life stage. Our team is led by a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who performs advanced surgical procedures and ultrasounds.

In addition to being experts in maternity care, our certified nurse midwives provide gynecological services to women of all ages, from adolescents to women going through menopause. Our nurse midwives offer a full range of services and can provide annual exams, prescriptions, labs and imaging orders.

Midwifery Care: A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is a registered nurse with a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited university and who has passed a national board certification exam and obtained a state license to practice and prescribe. They are considered advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and are legally recognized nationwide. Our midwives are considered “full-scope” in that they can care for a patient at every age and life stage, offering both gynecological and pregnancy care. Midwives are experts in caring for normal pregnancies and consistently have exceptional statistics and birth outcomes.
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale: Our obstetricians and midwives provide care to our patients in labor at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale. The hospital offers a beautiful labor and delivery unit with three birth-tub rooms, excellent nursing teams, a Level III NICU and childbirth education classes. Our nurse midwives can provide you with birthing tools to help you be more comfortable during labor. Birthing balls, birthing stools, birthing tubs, showers, aromatherapy and rebozo can be offered and utilized throughout your labor.
Doula Program: A birth doula is a continuous labor support person who is skilled in providing comfort and encouragement to women during labor and the immediate postpartum period. Doula care before and during labor can ensure continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a new mother. While not a substitute for a doctor or a midwife, a doula can make childbirth a transcendent experience by advocating and vocalizing for a woman and her family. Doulas aid in breathing exercises, relaxation massages and other support techniques. Women choosing a doula with our practice will be supported throughout labor, delivery and the postpartum period.
Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC): We support women who desire a vaginal birth after one previous cesarean. Our VBAC success rates are consistently above 70%.
Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the use of warm water, either with a shower or immersion in a tub, to provide pain relief, promote relaxation and facilitate labor progression. This is a low-risk pregnancy option.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine: We partner with UChicago Medicine AdventHealth maternal-fetal medicine specialists to provide exceptional care in higher-risk pregnancies.
Lactation Support: If you are planning on breastfeeding, our nurse midwives can assist you with lactation support. In addition, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale offers lactation consultant services during your hospital stay, and The Nurturing Nook Breastfeeding Center provides outpatient visits as needed.
