About Our Pharmacy Residency Program
Our UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program provides postgraduate-level integrated professional, patient-centered training that builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy education.
Our program provides a goal-directed, individualized experience, based on core rotations required to develop clinical expertise and focused on each resident’s personal learning goals. Our program integrates clinical, leadership and operational functions with participation in interdisciplinary rounds, patient care plan development, medication therapy optimization and pharmacy quality-improvement programs.
Located just 14 minutes west of Chicago, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange received an A safety rating from The Leapfrog Group in Spring 2025, offers a Level II Emergency Room trauma center, and is a designated Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center from The Joint Commission.

Our program participates in the National Match Service.
The following application materials must be submitted in PhORCAS by January 3:
- US citizenship or equivalent
- PharmD degree (ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy)
- Completed PhORCAS application
- Letter of Intent

- Three letters of recommendation utilizing the PhORCAS template
- Official College of Pharmacy transcripts
